2011 volvo S60 Spy Shot

The all-new S60 will be one of the strongest players in a segment where the competition is razor-sharp,” says Volvo Cars President and CEO Stephen Odell.
The coupe-inspired lines that gave the original S60 its characteristic stance are even more pronounced in the next generation.

The sporty design gives visual promise of an enthusiastic drive and I can assure you here and now that the all-new S60 will live up to that promise. The driving properties are better than in any previous Volvo. The car’s technology will help you to be a better and safer driver,” says Stephen Odell.

The Volvo S60 Concept is being shown for the very first time at the Detroit Motor Show in early January 2009. The production version of the all-new Volvo S60 will be introduced in 2010.
DNA at a new level
The concept car gives a clear indication that the Volvo Cars design team is stepping up to the next level in the development of the products’ DNA.

The modern Scandinavian design of the S60 Concept reflects the “Do Not Abandon” approach to the strengths of the brand’s design language. At the same time, it’s a Dramatic New Approach. A refined balance of tradition and new, dynamic visual excitement,” says Volvo Cars’ design director Steve Mattin. He adds:

“The concept car’s exterior gives a clear indication of what customers can expect of the all-new S60. On the inside we’ve been even more daring – there the focus has been on creating a vision of the future in the slightly longer perspective.”

2012 Volvo V70 Review

The Volvo S80 and V70 also come in refined special versions that are tailor made for buyers who want a car with that extra exclusive look and individual touch.

Volvo V70 R-Design gives the elegant estate car a sportier design character.

"Both cars are designed around the growing number of people who appreciate the possibility of tailoring their cars to suit individual tastes. The Executive version of the S80 radiates exclusive luxury while our R-Design models are developed for buyers who want an extra sporty look," says Lex Kerssemakers, Senior Vice President Product Strategy and Vehicle Line Management at Volvo Car Corporation.

Specially designed details and new wheels

The V70 R-Design comes with a number of specially developed exterior and interior design details.

The exterior has unique design details in the front, LED turning indicators integrated into door mirrors with silk metal covers and a unique, diamond cut 18-inch wheel called "Ixion".

On the inside, there are leather upholstery trimmed in off black, leather around the gear selector, and black floor-mats with contrasting stitching.

V70 R-Design is available together with all drivelines, which also makes it possible to choose the 1.6-litre DRIVe diesel with CO2 emissions at 119g/km.

The Volvo V70, XC70 and S80 are now being upgraded with a number of features that further emphasise the company's focus on cars designed around the needs and wishes of people in modern society.

The new features include the latest user-friendly Volvo Sensus infotainment system, enhanced technology that makes driving even safer and more comfortable, and refined drivelines that offer higher performance and lower fuel consumption.

"These cars mark yet another step forward in our determination to be the brand that best interprets what buyers of modern prestige cars want. Concern for the individual's well-being is the very core of our Scandinavian origin. On this basis we create a logical, intuitive and ergonomically optimised driver's environment that promotes a feeling of relaxed control," says Volvo Cars' President and CEO Stefan Jacoby.

Volvo Sensus is an excellent example of how Volvo Cars refines the driver environment. The new infotainment system made its debut in the Volvo S60 and V60 in 2010. Now the Volvo XC60, V70, XC70 and S80 also get the same feature.

Volvo XC90 reloaded

Due to its continued success, Volvo will be retaining the XC90 in its production program. HEICO SPORTIV is revitalizing the SUV's design and is now presenting an entirely new bodykit.

"There's life in the old dog yet!" could be the caption beneath the current Volvo XC90, considering the model has been on the market since 2003. Given the constant level of demand for this vehicle, however, Volvo has chosen to continue producing the Sweden SUV until model year 2014.

HEICO SPORTIV saw this as an advantageous opening and seized the opportunity to take an extremely novel step: the development of an entirely new bodykit. "Our new bodykit intends to give dealerships an attractive opportunity to offer additional buying incentives," explains HEICO SPORTIV CEO, Holger Hedtke, adding: "Around the globe, the Volvo XC90 has an unwavering fan club that will certainly applaud the modern, self-assured design from HEICO SPORTIV."

Complete and perfectly integrated.
The Volvo XC90 by HEICO SPORTIV has a perfectly integrated design. The six-part bodykit picks up on the current Volvo XC60's dynamic use of forms, fitting like a custom-made suit. The one-piece front skirt replaces the series-produced central and side panels and has a stainless steel stay located in front of the cooling air outlet. The side skirts are mounted on top of the original parts, with the rear skirt fully replacing the standard one. And - typical for HEICO SPORTIV - the rear skirt accommodates the four-pipe exhaust system with oval chrome end tips which can be extended optionally with a stainless steel inlay.

All plastic parts are produced from high quality PUR-R-RIM and are easy to fit. The HEICO SPORTIV Bodykit will be available from May 2011 for the XC90 from model year 2007 onwards and can be delivered for all engine versions.
